These terms apply to the NSW payment claim generator operated by SOPA (operator details pending). By using the generator, you agree to these terms. Contact: to be added before launch.
What the service provides
The generator helps you prepare a draft payment claim, a PDF, and a list of supporting attachments using information you provide. The current generator is free to use. Any future paid service will show its price and terms before you choose it.
Your review is essential
This is a document preparation tool, not a law firm or legal advice service. Using it does not create a solicitor–client relationship. Eligibility questions and validation checks do not establish that the Act applies, that your claim is valid, or that you will recover payment. The service does not verify your contract, evidence, entitlement, service method or deadlines.
You are responsible for reviewing the complete package, choosing the appropriate approved supporting statement where required, checking contractual and statutory requirements, and obtaining professional advice when needed. The tool is designed for NSW projects and is not represented as suitable for other jurisdictions.
Your information and authority
Provide accurate information and only upload material you are entitled to use. You must be authorised to act for the claimant and handle the personal information in the documents. Do not use the service to make false claims, mislead another person, upload malicious content or interfere with the service.
Downloading and serving
Generating or downloading a PDF does not serve a claim. You are responsible for the recipient, final contents, attachments, valid service, evidence of delivery and subsequent deadlines. An uploaded file being labelled “Supporting statement” does not mean the tool has checked that it is the approved, complete or correct form.
Saved work and external services
Keep your own copies. Browser data may be lost if you clear storage, change browser or device, or encounter technical failure. Availability of address search and other external services depends on those providers and their terms. Our Privacy notice explains the information involved.
Your documents and our website
You retain your rights in the information and documents you provide. You permit us and the relevant service providers to process that material only as needed for the functions you request. You may use and edit the claim documents generated for you. This does not transfer ownership of the website’s software or branding.
Availability and responsibility
We aim to provide a useful service but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free output or a particular legal or payment outcome. To the extent permitted by law, we do not accept responsibility for losses caused by inaccurate inputs, unreviewed documents, missed deadlines or incorrect service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits consumer guarantees or other rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.
Updates
We may update the service and these terms. Revised terms will show an updated date and apply to future use. Any paid offering will require its own clear agreement. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to you.
